I’m Alex- Benamar, born and raised in the great city of Paris, France. From a young age, I harbored a deep love for films and photography, though I never imagined they could become more than just passions. Despite initially pursuing studies in English literature and civilization at university in Paris, my heart was always drawn to the captivating world of visual storytelling.

My journey into filmmaking truly began when I experienced a cinematic epiphany while watching “Seven”. It was then that I realized my true calling and set my sights on pursuing a career in film. it wasn’t just the film that inspired me, but rather the final push I needed to pursue filmmaking. I decided to further my education at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where I immersed myself in every aspect of film production.

I embraced every opportunity to bring my creative visions to life. After four years of rigorous training, I graduated with a Bachelor of Art in film, I was ready to embark on the next chapter of my journey…

…Los Angeles was calling me, with its promise of endless possibilities. Joining forces with a group of aspiring filmmakers, I secured an internship at Piller/Segan, where I had the privilege of witnessing the conception of episodes of “The Dead Zone”, and also gaining hands-on experience as a Production Assistant on various television sets. Yet, amidst my artistic endeavors, I discovered a growing passion for the production aspect of filmmaking .

After two and a half transformative years, I felt the pull to return to France. Transitioning back into the industry, I discovered a new calling as a Fixer—an essential role in facilitating foreign productions on French soil. With each project, my reputation grew, eventually leading me to establish my own production company : Alex-in France.

Today, I am proud to lead a thriving enterprise dedicated to bringing creative visions to life. My journey has been one of passion, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to the art of storytelling. And as I reflect on my experiences, I am grateful for every twist and turn that has led me to where I am today.
